Ring doorbell has been charged but says Solar Statue Not Connected

The battery was just charged. I have done all the reset steps, white ring circling etc. and get an error message "Hmm. Something went wrong. Sorry about that. Please try again." I have done this multiple times and it is not correcting the issue.
