Ring Doorbell Birds Eye View display motion at wrong location and trigger false alarm
The Birds Eye View became malfunction recently, it display false motions nearby the doorbell, while in fact the motions occurred outside of the bird's eye zone, far away from doorbell. As a result the doorbell sometimes sends false alert about motion nearby doorbell, but actually occurred outside of the bird's eye zone, while the app setting said it should ignore motion outside of bird's eye zone, this is annoying.

Hi Tom, any chance of someone looking at my query below about not being able to properly adjust the zone being monitored? https://community.ring.com/conversations/ring-video-doorbell/ring-doorbell-birds-eye-view-display-motion-at-wrong-location-and-trigger-false-alarm/67f487d63a8e146ade96d8f6?commentId=685689ee33fd91252a3feb37

I have exactly the same problem. When you see people walking in a straight line on the pavement, in Birds Eye view the dots are all over the place, often inside the detection zones I’ve set up triggering false alerts. I have set my Unify set to lock the Ring to the nearest AP which is less than 2 meters away. RSSI is at - 50 In the first months I didn’t have these problems, but they started to occur for no apparent reason and persist until now.

Hi, my Birds eye view has also been malfunctioning over the past couple of months and is detecting movement outside of the zone. This could be because somehow the zone I had originally set was altered - I assume as part of a system update and it was reset to cover the full 9m default arc area. When I try to edit the area, the image on my phone is zoomed in and turned through 90 degrees and one of the points you can drag to edit the zone is out of the picture, so I can't adjust it. This means that most of my edited zone sits within my property but there is one little spike that reaches the full 9m from the doorbell and this spike crosses a public footpath and now detects every person that walks by. Clearly there is a flaw in whatever update took place and that needs to be amended so that all of the Birds eye view area is displayed on my phone when I try to edit it. My device is a wired Video doorbell Pro 2. I have tried rebooting it in the app but that didn't fix the problem. My phone is a Google Pixel 7 Pro. The doorbell has good connectivity to my WiFi. I have screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about but I can't see that it's possible to upload them as part of this post.
