Ring doorbell 2 not working with fully charged battery

Initial symptons were battery was discharging within 24 hours. Now the doorbell doesnt come on at all after recharging the battery. Tried a soft reset by holding in the setup button for 30 seconds but that did nothing. Don't know what to try next
