Ring doorbell 2 not ringing inside house
I have recharged battery, reset, etc. The camera and the doorbell work outside, but the inside alert is not working.

We are also having this problem. Our Ring Doorbell 2 was installed using the wires from our original doorbell. It used to work fine. We thought it was the battery but even after charging it, the inside bell does not work. From what I have read online there should be a setting within the app that

CHey @KRJ1. The option to choose between a mechanical and digital doorbell is not a setting for the Doorbell 2, as you don't need to do anything additional when installing it to a mechanical chime. It's possible the chime kit may not be compatible with the Doorbell 2, which is why it is not working c

KI'm having the same issue. When I originally installed my Ring Doorbell 2 to my existing chime (installed in the wall of my hallway) it worked fine. You rang the doorbell and it chimed inside the house just like the old doorbell!! For whatever reason, it has stopped working. It rings on the outside

CHi @Kgarrison. I would recommend reaching out to our support team directly so they can take a look, as the chime should be working if it is listed as compatible. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). They'll

DI'm having the same issue. The doorbell rings outside, but doesn't alert to my phone, or to Alexa (we don't use a chine, we use all the Alexa devices in the house) help. We are worried about missing deliveries

TInstalled a Ring 2 doorbell yesterday. Install went fine, but our indoor "other party" chime is no longer functioning, and the Ring software doesn't have an option to enable it. The voltage connected to the doorbell (24v) is fine. I've read some things online, but references are made to software

D**If you have a Ring 2 this ( WILL ) work to make your original doorbell ring when you press the button & so will your phone. NOT sure HOW my honeywoman got this out of a Ring Tech but she DID ! I had READ ( ALL ) these NEGATIVE posts & was ready to RETURN it. It’s really SIMPLE when you have the CO

CI installed the Ring Pro after having a Nest that worked fine. I installed and it didn’t ring the in home mechanical chime. The hardware and ring app was all correct. After driving myself crazy with troubleshooting I ended up solving it. Turned out the Alexa App was the problem. I had to turn off no

Same issue here. The option has disappeared from my settings? Since this appears to be a common issue why not just post the fix? Support takes forever and I don't understand why not just post the steps here except hope that users will get frustrated and buy the chime? I have a perfectly good doorbell wired in and have no interest in a wireless component taking up plug in space with a 5 sec delay to boot!

Unfortunately same issue here. I think Ring knows this issue but acting dumb. It all happened with firmware update and now ring wants you to buy new device. Few people I know also had same issues. $200 device only working for 2 years. What is the guarantee it won’t happen again with new device after 2 years. How come a manufacturer doesn’t not know the root cause of this issue. I called support 3 times. They sent useless resister even though there is no issue with power supply

I've been having the same problem with the doorbell working outside, but not ringing the Ring chime, activating my mechanical doorbell, sending phone alerts, or alerting through Alexa. Once I saw some comments here about calling support and it taking 20 minutes I realized what probably happened. Either a firmware or app update wiped out or corrupted settings. Because to fix it all I did was go through some settings enabling and disabling them, or changing them and changing them back. That causes your settings to rewrite to the system. FYI my doorbell was already set to "mechanical". Shame on Ring for not sending out a notice about this. We all certainly know they have our email addresses.

Hey @Janny. Are you referring to an internal chime kit that is part of an existing doorbell circuit, or a Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro? If it's an internal chime kit, do you have the Doorbell hardwired to doorbell wires at your door? This information will help us to better provide some guidance! :)
