Ring Video Doorbell
Ring Doorbell 1st gen Hardwire Charging & Mechanical Chime not working
I have a Ring 1st gen video doorbell that I moved to a new house that is hardwired and will not charge & won't ring mechanical chime. The previous owner had a ring that worked hardwired. I have comeplted this troubleshooting - check voltage at doorbell, transformer, chime, and all are running 18v - updated firmware - rebooted unit & removed it from app & location - reinstalled unit, fully charged battery. The app shows that unit is running off batter and not hardwired, is my doorbell have an internal issue (hardware, etc.) that is defective and not allowing it to be hardwired?
