Ring door bell WiFi connection bug?

I found this very interesting. Ring Door bell seems to have issue authenticate to secured WiFi AP if the secure passcode containing special characters such as : $, -, ^ , etc. If I remove these special characters from the passcode, then Ring Door bell will be able to authenticate and connect.. I have been able to reproduce this issue many times on my test WiFi AP (using WPA/WPA2). Did Ring technical team test the their codes? It was very frustrating at the very beginning.:manfrustrated:
