ring door bell button not working when pressed

i have a ring doorbell v1, been using it with no problems but this week i noticed that when the doorbell is pressed, nothing happens. it doesn't light up nor give any sound or notification via the app. i have tried a hard reset pressing the orange button for 20 secs. once i do this. i get the blue. flashing light but once this goes out, i cannot reset up the doorbell. after the hard reset, i press the orange button briefly it does nothing, no spinning light to set it up. any ideas?
