Ring Battery Doorbell 24VDC power supply

Hello, I've been trying to hardwire my new ring battery doorbell to a 24VDC 625mA power source, an LED driver, I've checked that there's 24VDC across the terminals at the doorbell but the doorbell is not recognising it as a power supply. The new battery video doorbell is listed as working with Rings own 24VDC 420mA power supply, is there something I've done wrong here or does it not work on a DC supply?
