No Volume Slider in App Alert Tones (iOS)
Am I the only one who doesn't have a volume slider in App Alert Tones (in Device Settings)? I want to lower the volume of my alerts but I cannot. I see RINGS and MOTIONS and can choose Silent, Ring Default, Deck the Halls... but there is NO volume slider as shown on many photos when searching the web.

I have this problem too, also iOS. There is no volume slider under App Alerts and Tones and the app plays a very loud noise when motion is detected. Much louder than my phone’s volume. I’ve tried adjusting the volume under Settings > Sounds and Haptics to no avail, the noise is unaffected.

I use a bluetooth earpiece. The ringer volume is up, and is appropriate for phone call ringer, whether I am using the earpiece or not. However, when the Ring notification occurs, it is very loud on my phone, and painfully loud when I'm using my earpiece. Reducing the ringer volume negates the usefulness of the phone call ringer. I NEED a separate volume slider for the Ring app. It can't be that hard!! Come on, People!!!

CHi @donnsj. If you're using an iOS device, you have a few options available under Sounds and Haptics in your phone's settings. Under this menu, you should see a Headphone Safety option, which will allow you to toggle on the option to Reduce Loud Sounds. Underneath that is a decibel slider to choose the threshold at which you want your iPhone to reduce the volume. I hope this helps. :)

This is absolutely ridiculous… Ring can’t find an answer to this problem, so when I am sitting in meetings I have to completely turn my iphone off, because it plays extremely loud even in silent mode….. JuST Give Me a dumb volume slider for Apple users (iOS)…. Seriously, I am about to just head to Costco, install a different security system and take down my ring cameras- I can’t deal with this every day!

Hi @Shirokuma. If you have an iPhone, this is controlled by adjusting the Ringer Volume in your phones settings. To get there, tap on settings and then select Sounds and Haptics. You can also use the volume buttons on the side of your phone when on your phones home screen. I hope this helps.
