New basic doorbell - want to use an app on my laptop

Greetings one and all. I have just bought a new basic video doorbell (with the enhanced view parameters and pixels) and have found that there is no longer a way to use it without owning a smart phone.  I only use a dumb phone which does not allow for non proprietary apps and this seems to prevent me now using the new doorbell. I refuse to buy a smart phone (I won't go into it here) so - is there any way to get hold of an app that can install on my Windows 10 pro laptop and allow me to set up the doorbell with my wifi and use this item?
