Missed a Ring

Missed a handyman visit today.We're getting notifications on our phones and the history shows a missed ring, but the inside door chime (wired doorbell) has quit chiming. It worked for the first year but just quit ringing.Wired doorbells are simple contraptions, but because I had to insert that stupid diode inside, I'm suspicious the Ring video doorbell is the root of the problem.Should I pick up a new doorbell from the hardware store on the way home? Or is there something on the Ring Video Doorbell I should be checking first?
