Seems like there's an issue at Ring with delayed notifications (so i've seen on their status). I'm now getting these too. My real issue is (to me) there's a fundamental design flaw between doorbell and chime - it seems if Ring servers go down, the chime doesn't work if someone pushes the doorbell. This is a real issue !!! Someone came to the door, pressed the doorbell (approx. 3pm) and it didn't ring - 5hrs later it rang!! - given that its on the same wifi network and in the house, it should really be designed to be a direct connection irrespective of the status of Ring servers. I will seriously have to consider whether i keep the ring doorbell / chime or change to something else that always makes a noise in the house when the doorbell is pressed, and not reliant on a Ring server.

Yes in finding that really annoying. It's past 9pm and the doorbell just rang with no-one there. I'm getting notifications when there's no one there too. I'm guessing it's a hangover for earlier events that have been delayed. Live view doesn't work, I currently have no notification history either. I understand that live view records too, potentially why it won't work, but there should be a work around that even if the servers are down there should be the ability to work offline.

Hi neighbors. Yesterday we were experiencing issues with our Processing Infrastructure which resulted in delays in our Ring devices. This has since been resolved and everything should be back to normal. If you are looking for a solution that is not reliant on the Ring network, most 16VAC mechanical chime kits are compatible with Ring Doorbells and will ring every time your Doorbell button is pushed. If you are still experiencing delays, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support.
