Hardwired doorbell does not keep battery charged

On the Ring site it says that if you hard wire the doorbell that you wouldn’t have to charge the battery. The following is the quote from their site. “If your Ring Video Doorbell 2 is hardwired to an existing doorbell, that will keep it charged with normal use. If your Ring Video Doorbell 2 is not hardwired, the battery will need to be periodically recharged.” WELL THAT IS A LIE. Hardwiring your doorbell does NOT keep it charged! You still have to charge the battery which means you have to flip the breaker, disconnect the wiring, charge the battery for 5-10 hours, connect the wiring, reinstall the doorbell, flip the breaker and then reset the device and all connected devices. If you don’t mind doing that, it works fine.
