Door Bell 2020
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell
Hi, I’ve searched but I don’t think this specific issue has been posted before (forgive me if I am wrong). We just purchased the Ring Doorbell 2020. I charged it via the UBS cord. I downloaded the app and when the doorbell is plugged in, it works fine. (Video and chime). However, the moment I remove the power source the phone shuts down. No lights, nothing. The app says the battery is at 100% but again, instantly dies the moment I unplug it. Anything I am missing or doing something wrong? Thank you!

Hi @Donalmaurice. This definitely does not sound like normal behavior. I would suggest performing a reset on the doorbell and then seeing if it will hold a charge. To perform a reset, press and hold the setup button for 20 seconds, then release. If you've tried this to no avail, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support.
