Wiring Spotlight Cam Mount

I have bought 2 Spotlight Cam Mount cameras that I want to mount to the outside of my home where there is no existing electrical box. Putting weatherproofing aside for a moment, can I use some bulk power cord wire, run it through the wall, and plug the camera in to a regular outlet? Are there any grounding issues with this method?
