Why multiple zones?

I’m confused as to why there is an option to add more zones. If you can’t turn them on or off separately, what’s the use? Doesn’t increasing the motion zone yield the same result as adding a zone? What’s the advantage of adding a second zone?

Hi @user44328. Having multiple Motion Zones can result in more accurate Motion Detection. Some larger, obscure shapes, can having difficulty accurately detecting Motion. Having multiple smaller and rectangular [Motion Zone](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050360052-Customizing-Motion-Zones-for-Video-Doorbells-and-Security-Cameras)s will yield better results for most areas.

I can’t figure out how to read that article. All I get is the generic support pages. Please tell us how to get to this article or any others that might be useful.
