UP arrow on mounting bracket for Stick Up Cam Pro - which direction?
After adding my new Stick Up Cam Pro to the app, the installation instructions say, for a ceiling mount, to install the mounting bracket with the "UP arrow facing the direction the camera will be pointing" but the online install instructions on the web site say to install it with the "UP arrow pointing in the opposite direction from where your camera will face." The online instructions seem to be correct, so wanted to point this out because the app is wrong. https://ring.com/support/articles/edmq8/Installing-your-Stick-Up-Cam-Pro-Plug-In

Hi @windracer. If you try initiating the setup process again under Set Up a Device in the Ring app, are you able to see these instructions again? It would be helpful to have a screenshot, so we can share this with the appropriate team.

WI can't do that without removing the camera and I'd rather not do that. I've got another Stick Up Cam Pro on order (not sure why it takes so long from ring.com, if I had gone with Amazon I'd have it already). Once it arrives and I have a chance to set it up, I'll grab that screenshot.

Ok, as requested, here you go. The app clearly is wrong. I suspect you're using the same instructional text regardless of whether the user picks wall or ceiling installation. Look at the graphic at the top of the app and you can see I picked ceiling, yet the text indicates the mounting plate should have the arrow "in the direction the camera should look" which is wrong. The paper instructions on the left are correct. I can't seem to add attachments or screenshots, so here's my image: https://www.windracer.net/outgoing/ring-ceiling-instructions.png

Hi @windracer. Thanks for letting us know about this. What type of phone do you have, and what version of the Ring app is installed? Are you able to share screenshots of this? That will really help me in correcting this error.
