Taking a Photo with Handwritten Time and Date and MAC and Serial Number while you are on a ladder

What is the purpose of writing the Date and Time on a piece of Paper and taking a photo with the MAC and Serial Number for troubleshooting.The Stick up POE camera is installed on the ceiling and the troubleshooting rep told me that I need to hold the paper in one hand, and camera in one hand and then take the picture of the MAC and Serial Address all while I am on a ladder regardless of the angle of the Stick up camera and you, even if you are holding onto something to balance.Apparently, the trouble shooting team will NOT respond as these are very STRICT and nonnegotiable process.I am baffled at the entire requirement. It does not make sense to me. Can someone in RING explain WHY is this a requirement.Am I supposed to do a balancing act to take a picture with no regards to my safety when I am on a Ladder trying to get the equipment to work?
