Ring Spotlight Pro solar charging issues
Hello, I have had the Ring Spotlight Pro camera since June 2023 and had it connected to a generic solar panel. It charged great until around Sept/October 2024, then I noticed the battery draining. I then bought the ring solar panel 2nd generation and plugged it in. It charges for that day then once the sun goes down it only “restarts” the charge if I unplug and plug it back in to the camera. I have done all the resets/workarounds that I have found on this and Reddit. I called ring for support a few months ago to no avail. I have since given in to every few weeks unplugging and plugging it in on a sunny day so the battery fills up (I have two batteries). Recently I got an email from ring saying there was an update that fixed this, however I still have the issue. So I’m posting this. My camera is set to battery mode, the camera has never recognized a solar panel, but the battery spots show “charging bars” when I have unplugged and plugged back in.
