Ring Person Detect becomes Alexa Motion Detect alert

Ive been using Ring Cameras and Alexa Echo devices throughout my home for about 1 year. Current setup is each Ring security camera Pro uses Smart Alerts where Person is both record and alerts, but Other Motion is Record only. This has worked fine for months, I do get Person Detected announced on my Echo devices when the cameras are on, but not Motion detected announcement. I get both Person and Motion detect history on the Ring app, all good.Recently I started having issues ... some Ring cameras would announce Person detected, other Ring cameras would not. I checked to make sure all devices are on same Wifi etc. Now it seems that I have to use the Alexa app to turn on Motion detected alerts for each Ring camera (from inside Alexa app). Now I can walk around with Ring cameras on, Ring consistently generates Person detected message, but Echo always translates that into "Motion detected" alert, not Person detected. Note the Echo devices are set inside Alexa app to only send Smart alert for Person, and NOT for Motion.I did confirm the Alexa app and Ring app are both latest versions. I have not restarted devices, I will try that next.I just learned about some Ring updates on Nov 5 which is about when I started having issues. Wondering if Ring / Echo software teams have created some integration issues? Anyone else having this problem?

Hi @user71253. If Person alerts are working correctly in the Ring app, this indicates the issue is isolated to the Alexa app. I'd recommend unlearning the Ring Skill in the Alexa app, then relearning it. Once you've done that, readjust the settings to set up announcements on the Echo devices again.
