Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus keeps turning lights on without motion detected
Hi, My Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus keeps turning lights on without motion detected When motion detection & lights are turned off it still turns on the light once every 24h at a random moment in time When I open the app the Floodlight Cam says the lights are turned off while they're actually on I can turn off the light by first turning it on in the app (while in reality it was already on) and after that turning it off in the app. The light shuts down and somewhere next 24h I have to do this again This is not a workable situation for me since the light wakes people up when it turns on during the night. The phone / app doens't give me a proper solution. Whats Rings direct phone number or email for support with a human being? How to het help solving this?

Hi @user_39e919. This Help Center article here will show you how to properly adjust your Light Settings for your Floodlight Cam. Let me know if this helps.

USame problem for me. Question: Why is the App showing lights off when they're on? Sounds like an App or firmware issue.....

CHi @user_305730. The lights toggle in the Ring app is for manually toggling the lights on and off. It will say off if you do not have the lights manually toggled on. The Floodlight Cam has a separate range of motion detection for the camera and for the lights. This can result in the lights being on when motion hasn't been detected. The article Tom shared details how to adjust the light settings specifically.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately it's not a solution to my question. I have motion activation for lights but only 30 secs. It stays on indefinately after it randomly turns on during day or night. Here you see I have no light schedule. I also says lights off here (and even when it says "lights off" here, they are on in reality until I manually switch on-off again):

THi @user_39e919. If you haven't already, power cycle your Floodlight Cam. You can do this by disconnecting your device from power for 5 minutes, then reconnecting power. If that does not work, please follow up with our support team. You can also get in touch by sending a private message to @Ring on Facebook or X.

Hi @Tom_Ring and @Caitlyn_Ring, at LEAST several other users are reporting a very similar issue, myself included. https://community.ring.com/conversations/ring-security-cameras/floodlight-cam-wired-plus-lights-go-on-randomly-and-wont-go-off/679fc853d31b697ab995616c I called tech support twice starting over 2 weeks ago. I'm told it is elevated to engineering, but sill no response. Is there anything you can do to help those of us having this issue get it fixed.

Still doesn't explain why all three of my wired plus floodlights have suddenly decided to come on at the same time during the day and have to be manually turned off. The light motion settings wouldn't affect them all at the same time at different locations. You have a problem that needs to be addressed. I have way to much money invested in a 12-camera set-up to switch to a different brand.

UI have a 7 camera doing the same thing. Tried tech support twice but got the same story each time. No...they will not admit there is an issue. It will not be corrected. Did you notice it started at the same time the " whats new" button showed up on the dashboard and the light control button was gone for a day or two?
