Ring app not connecting to phone data
When away from home, and not able to connect to a wifi connection, the app will not connect to the phone's data. The data is turned on, so that's not the problem. What else should I try?

Hi @Mummy. Are you using a VPN? If so, try disabling it to see if that corrects the issue. Also, what version of the Ring app are you using and what type of phone?

CHi @Mummy, happy to chime in for Tom here. In this case, you may even want to contact your cell phone carrier if you're not able to locate where you can check the data permissions in your phone's settings. They can also make sure there are no restrictions or settings with your data plan that could be impacting the Ring App's ability to use the data when you're away from home. :)

Not sure if this will help, but maybe it'll point you in the right direction for Android: [How to Stop Apps From Using Cellular Data On Android Phone (techbout.com)](https://www.techbout.com/stop-apps-using-cellular-data-android-phone-13411/)

If you have an iPhone, you can control which apps are able to use cellular data under Settings > Cellular. Maybe that's toggled off for the Ring app?
