Problems with Ring Security Cameras
To make this as easy as possible, I’ll suggest a design. My house looks like a widened, thick ‘U’ – open end facing up.On the outside bottom of the ‘U,’ are four cameras equally spaced across the bottom, numbered 1>4, left to right. OK, I lied. #3 isn’t a security camera, but a Ring doorbell. On the outside of the left side of the ’U’ are 2 equally spaced cameras numbered top to bottom 5-6. On the top of the left side of the ‘U’ is one camera numbered 7. On the inside bottom of the ‘U’ are two cameras , one at each corner, numbered left to right 8-9. Finally, below the ‘U,’ but not touching, is a Ring Mailbox sensor, numbered 10.Here we go. I have the app set to change to ‘Home’ 10P to 6M. Otherwise, ‘disarmed.’ With frequency, each camera will stop sending audible and popup notifications. Number 1 is the most egregious offender – about a third of the time. I can find no specific time or day for this failure, nor is it or any device failure associated with ‘Home’ or ‘Disarmed.’ I have walked under #1 and get audible/popup notification. 10 minutes later, walk under # 1 . . . nothing, and nothing for hours. When I walk out my door, #3, camera lights 1,2,4 come on. I have none of them linked to the other. At night, most of the time, camera #8 turns on for 1-2 minutes, stays on 1 sec, and goes out. Cycling ALL night. Often around dusk/dawn, but sometimes not til 10P. Rarely, it doesn’t turn on all night, BUT, when it does not come on, & 7 comes on and stays on all night. No cycling on/off. None of those cameras are linked. All the above cameras record events, even when the lights don’t come on or when they stay on or cycle. Finally, camera # 1 and Mailbox sensor 10. I have them linked so, when the mailbox door is open, camera 1 records. Works perfectly . . . fall, winter, spring. Consistently sends notifications. Rarely in the summer except at night or during rain. This is strongly associated with amount of direct sun in the summer. Mailbox door is in a brick mailbox pier with the mailbox door on the south side of the door. I suspect, putting an insulation on the inside of the door would stop the notification silence. Would this work?Sorry for the long post, but I suspect these may be related somehow. If I uninstall/install the Ring android app, will I have to reconnect all devices (I have more in the house)? I’m close to 80 and can’t climb ladders for outside cameras any more.

Hi @requiredusername. I would suggest contacting our support team to assist with your issues with your Cameras. They can take a more in-depth look into them than we can here in the Community. I can't say if the insulation would work or not, but its worth a try. As for uninstalling the Ring app, that will not remove or disconnect any of your Ring devices.
