Light comes on with car driving by

Question

I installed the floodlight cam at my father in laws house.  The light is on the porch of his house and is about 25 to 30 feet from the street.  When a car goes by, the light comes on.  We tried to reduce the distance, still came on.  The only way to turn it off was to shut off 2 of the zones.  Any suggestions to leave the zones on, but not have the lights come on with a car?

I can tell you these camera are very sensitive to motion moving across then, vs. directly at them.  If you can't adjust your motion zone to not include the street (in other words, that would eliminate an area you do want to see), you can overlay a Privacy Zone that should exclude the street motion you want to avoid.
