How Many Cameras on Account until Performance Issues?
Is there a limit on how many cameras one can have until it becomes a problem with the Ring app performance? Camera resolution issues, load times with camera live views, etc. Currently have 32 cameras, mix of both wired and battery. Inside and out of the household. Have had performance issues since the last app updates from the end of last year. There were no issues before. Using 1GB fiber service with new Eero mesh routers (3 total). Thank you!

Hi @citizenleroy. It's hard to say if there is a limit because this is really dependant on your network and it's limitations. Technically, you can have up to 99 devices at a specific location. The capabilities in your network is going to be the limiting factor on your devices' performance. This has to do with bandwidth and network congestion. For example, you'll need to manage the channel that your device is connected to- see here.

More context: We have the issue on iPhones and iPads. The recordings on our end are also with the resolution issues so definitely with the cameras. We unplugged the power from the power-connected ones (Indoor cam 2nd gen, new Pan-Tilt Indoor) and used the battery ones (stick-up cam battery). No resolution issues whatsoever with those! Plugged back in the power-connected cams and the resolution issues came back on those. Removed/reset and re-added these from the Ring app. Also, power-cycled routers. Half were OK and the other half already had the resolution issues. The half that was OK later on had the resolution issues again. Seems to be only with those cameras that are connected to power (new Pan-Tilt Indoor cam, Indoor cam 2nd gen). 😑
