Help: 40 second blank videos on stickup cam 3rd gen

I've got a number of ring cameras on subsciption and have recently added a 3rd gen stickup cam set to Outdoor mode and running on battery. Camera works quite well capturing movements and on valid recordings the length of the video stops when no further motion is detected so the recorded length varies. But from time to time it will record blank videos that are exactly 40 seconds long. I am not sure what is triggering these recordings and why they are always 40 seconds long. Anyone got any idea on what's going on?Settings are as follows:Customisable motion zones: enabledSensitivity: MaxPeople only mode: DisabledVideo recording length: 60 seconds

    Hi @bantay. This is odd. It could be that this Camera is setup as a [Linked Device](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026206031-Linking-Your-Ring-Devices-Together-for-Enhanced-Security). That means if another Camera detects motion, it could be triggering the 40 second recording. If this is not the cause, I would contact our support team. They will be able to look at your account specific details and determine what the cause is.       Hi, I just found this thread. I'm just trying to find out why one of my Stickup cams 3rd gen causes me so much trouble right now. I frequently get alerts when motion or person is detected but if I check the videos I just see a black screen exactly 40 s long while my recording length is set to 40 seconds.I just checked the settings for linked devices for all my three Stickup cams, it's set to simply do nothing (don't know the exact wording because I use the German version of the app).I'm facing a mix of problems with that one camera right now. Besides the black videos - yesterday I had 16 notifications and 16 40 s black videos - I'm facing the problem that the preveiw is very often not available in browser or app. For testging purposes I swapped position of two cameras. Wifi connection should be no problem as the cameras are just maximum 5 metres away from a router or repeater.
