Feature Request - Cannot Change App Alerts for Indoor Cam - Wind Chimes Default
Dear Ring Team, For the my Ring Indoor Cam, I am unable to change the Ring app alert tone from the default Wind Chimes tone when the Indor Cam detects movement in my living room. I have tried selecting a differt app alert tone on the Ring app on both my Android phone and my iPhone, but the app still plays the default Wind Chimes when motion is detected. Your Tech Suppor rep stated that this is not possible to change the app alert tone. Is this true? If so, would you please add this feature to the Ring app for Android and iPhone? Thank you, Lee

Thanks. I have tried that already both on my Android app and iPhone app, but the alert tone still will not change from the wind chimes. I have the latest version of the Ring app installed on both Abdroid and iPhone. Is anyone else having this issue with the Ring Indoor Cam? Thanks, Lee

LAmen! After deleting the Ring app again and reinstalling it, it finally allowed me to change the alert tone for the Indoor Cam. Thanks for your help. :-)

Hey @LeeLosAngeles! This should be possible by doing the following: 1. In the Ring app visit your Indoor Cam device page. 2. Choose the Device Settings tile. 3. Select Alert Settings. 4. Select App Alert Tones. 5. Choose tone and save. This should result in your alerts playing the tone you choose. If this does not change the tone, try removing and reinstalling the Ring app. I hope this helps! :)
