Complaint: Floodlight Wired Pro
I purchased the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro in XXXX. There was a recent rain storm, and the camera lens detached, allowing the water to enter the camera. Long story short the circuit board is toasted. The camera is no longer connecting to WiFi and the lights are on at all time. Ring tells me I’m out of the 1yr- warranty, and gave me a little coupon to buy a new one. I’m so disappointed at the quality of the product, and the customer service. How is it possible that a camera that is supposed to be outdoor cant handle a rain, and I’m screwed because 1 year passed???

I subscribed to the Ring Protect Plan, and I’m not getting a replacement. The only thing I’m getting is general apologies and a 35% discount code. The camera literally costed me $250 in 2022… we are mid year 2024 and I will have to spend +$200 again? I feel robbed… this camera was supposed to be an outdoor camera…

Hi @Raulb42. All of our devices come with a 1-year warranty, where you can read the details about this here. When you are subscribed to the Ring Protect Plus Plan, the warranty of your device is extended, provided that your Ring Protect Plan is active. I would recommend disconnecting the affected device from power, as this could be potentially hazardous with certain areas of the camera exposed.
