Ring Security Cameras
Cannot connect Stick Up cameras to my WiFi
Hello, I just received 3 new Ring stick up cameras. All battery operated with solar panels. However, any attempt to set them up was not successful. I tried: 1. Rebooting my router several times 2. Changing the channel on router WiFi 3. Rebooting my iPhone 4. While setting up, I place the camera about 5" from the router. The app can recognize the camera, connect to it, but when it asks to connect to WiFi, it tells me that "Rome was not built in a day", then tells me that connection was not successful. Also, I already have Ring video doorbell, and it is working just fine. So I know that connection is there. Any suggestions? I tried 2 out of 3 cameras, neither one could connect. Thank you, Eugene UPDATE: After spending 1.5 hours with tech support, we activated all 3 cameras. Just in case someone has the same issue: Router: Netgear Nighthawk I had to reduce my 2.4 GHz to 54 Mbps just for setup. After setup was completed, I switched back to 450 Mbps.
