Ring Security Cameras
BASIC Ring protect plan active but I have two devices
Hi I recently bought a second stick up cam. My other one was subject to a basic ring protect plan. I understand I need the “plus” plan to record videos etc on the second device but for the basic plan I already have (and paid for this month), I should still be able to record on one of the devices I choose?

Based on the new plans and pricing, if you have 2 devices at one location, is there any reason why you would not want to update from a Basic plan to a Standard plan, other than saving 1 cent / year on the annual pricing?!? The Basic plan x 2 = $99.98 while the Standard plan is $99.99 and it includes everything on Basic plan plus more. Am I reading these plans correctly? Thanks

Hi @user37971. Typically it's best to swap to the Plus plan once you have 3 or more Doorbells or Cameras at one Location, as it will be most cost effective that way. With only 2 Cameras currently, you can just add a second Basic plan to access video recording on that device alongside the original Camera.
