Alerts on different camera zones

I am using stick up cams and have a question. Is it possible to set up zones that will record motion, but not alert? I want other zones to record and alert. I am monitoring my house and would like to record activity on the roads but not alert me every time a car drives by. I want motion in the yard and at my door to record and alert. Is that possible with these devices or would that be a feature request?
