We bought only Ring cameras and do our own monitoring. Today , 04/19/2023, I find that our modes are no longer on our dashboard. When I check into settings, the ENABLE MODES is grayed out. I had a too brief chat on chatline saying now i need to buy into a plan.... TRUTH? Again, we only have cameras, no alarm no door bells etc.... why should we have to pay into a plan? is there anyway around this without quiting ring al together.

Hi @otterear. As of March 29th, 2023, changes were made to the Ring Alarm subscription for neighbors in the United States and Canada. Users will only a Ring Doorbell or Camera will need to subscribe to a Ring Protect plan in order to have access to Modes. If you have any feedback on these changes, you can add a comment to [this thread](https://community.ring.com/t/ring-alarm-subscription-changes/189243), which goes over the changes as well. Thank you.
