Issue with dual SIMs on iOS
troubleshooting

I have a physical SIM and an eSIM so that my iPhone can have two phone numbers. However, only the primary line have cellular data. The “Allow Data Switching” feature is turned off and the Primary line is set for cellular data in the iOS settings. So, all apps only use that primary line for data. However, the Ring app will routinely try to connect using the secondary line. This leads to me needing to close the Ring app, disable that line and re-open the Ring app in order to view my cameras.  I suspect Apple provides app developers with a means to determine which line to use or at the very least a Boolean value as to whether the line has cellular data or not. The Ring app is the only app on my phone to exhibit this issue.

Hi @user_28fedc. Since this is a dual SIM setup, the issue might need to be escalated past regular troubleshooting. We're unable to do that here on the Community, as we do not have access to account information. At your convenience, please reach out to our support team either via phone, or @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram.

Happy to email a bug report if there was an email address. Not looking to engage on social media or get bogged down working through call center flow scripts. I have my work around. I was just trying to make Ring aware of the issue in case the app team wanted to address it. Don’t need my account info. Simply need an iPhone with two phone numbers to recreate/test the issue of they want. Feel free to forward it to a relevant party or not.
