App Alert Tones changed

Why does Ring change App Alert Tones? I understand adding some seasonal tones (by why would you want to change tones all the time, never mind), but removing a tone that I'm using and resetting my tones is a horrible experience. So now the tones I'm listening for Ring alerts are gone and some new random tone occurs and I don't know that it is Ring (no I don't pull out my phone for every notification that come in, but for Ring I do for security). They have done this for years, stop it!
