Window / Door sensor - Gen 1 vs Gen 2

Been a Ring user for a long time - just noticed there was a Generation 2 door / window sensor. Other than form factor, what's the difference between the two?

I do not have one yet, but I noticed it uses two coin battery's. Would have to hope that certainly this is an improvement? What I really want to know is the gen 2 range extender better :)

Hey neighbors! You can learn more about the 2nd Gen Contact Sensor in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040149572-FAQs-about-Ring-Alarm-2nd-generation-). The difference between the 1st Gen and the 2nd Gen Contact Sensor is the physical design, as we made the 2nd Gen smaller so it is easier to use on different sized windows and doors.
