Upgrade from Ring Alarm V1 to V2

Hi. I wonder what will be the easiest way to upgrade from Ring Alarm V1 to V2. Is the base still the same, so I just add the new keypad etc, or got the alarm base unit as well an upgrade? Is this the unit with the 3G included or is it the keypad? Thank you

Hi @Bosi. The Ring Alarm Base Station is essentially the same for both Gen 1 and Gen 2. The main difference is a matte finish vs. a glossy finish. The Sensors are compatible with both systems.

@Bosi - are you wondering about Ring Alarm Pro? AFAIK, Gen 1 and Gen 2 were identical feature wise, other than the contact sensors having a different shape. Alarm Pro includes a built-in Eero router,. backup internet and more (with Ring Protect Pro).
