Ring door sensors keep falling
contact-sensor

I bought a couple of door sensors from Amazon. They keeping falling off. The sticky part stays but its the top part that keeps falling down, most often with the batteries coming out too. Are these faulty or am i missing something? ![IMG_2343.jpeg|375x500](upload://pQg1NJNyrPARlp7kzeBf2M8iFpl.jpeg)

Hi @itsanil. For the Contact Sensor, you should be able to place the Contact Sensor over the mounting bracket, and slide it towards the edge (The side with the barcode). If the Contact Sensor is not on all the way, you will see a Tampered alert in your Ring App. If this continues to fall off, I would suggest reaching out to our Ring Alarm support team. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. You can also get in touch with our support team on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.

Was this ever resolved. I have the same issue.  The contact center keep falling off the bracket when the door opens and closes, most often with the batteries coming out too.

Hi @user_c46dfa. It sounds like you have not securely fastened the Contact Sensor to the door and frame, as it shouldn't be falling off. We have some installation tips for the Contact Sensor here that may be helpful. If the sensor is frequently falling off, try swapping the sensor and magnet to see if that installation works better for your door.

Hello @Caitlyn_Ring . I checked and the contact sensor is securely fastened to the door and frame. Each time the doors close, it moves the contact sensor a little off the mounting bracket until it eventually falls OR if someone lets the door slam, it flies off as well.  I prefer not having to add tape to the senor to hold it in place. Thanks,

@user_c46dfa. As mentioned in the solution, if you have verified your Sensor is correctly installed, and it is still falling off, give our support team a call for further assistance.
