First Alert Z wave Smoke

I have 9 First Alert Z wave smoke detectors. Each is connected to the Ring system, however when one detects smoke, the other detectors do not sound (as is required by my state and a number of other states). Both Ring and First Alert have all the data they need to make this work, is there a work around? I am at the point where I have failed inspection and will need to remove the entire system and replace it. This sucks.

It does not appear to be a fault, it looks like a feature, a poorly designed feature.
