Hi apologies if asked a million times but I’ve moved into a new home with a standard ding dong chime and want to move to ring wired but I’ve watched lots of videos and some say I need a transformer and some say not can anyone help Thanks Lee

Hi @b7fb1696f7abebcebccc3bd056988c. The Doorbell Wired is designed to by hardwired and bypass your internal chime kit. The Doorbell Wired will come with a Jumper Cable to attach to your internal chime kit to allow for a smooth installation. This Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054984332-Installing-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Wired) has information on how to install the Doorbell Wired.
