Video Doorbell 3 plus offline for days with RSSI-50

troubleshooting

I have a strong signal of RSSI-50 thru RSSI-56. It's always green. I connect the doorbell to a 2.4 GHz only network. It is hardwired and the battery level is always above 80%. The device was recently offline for days and did not reconnect on it's own. This has happened in the past as well. To fix it, I remove the battery and put it right back in. It always reconnects ok and is fine for a while. This tells me the battery level and wifi signal are fine. I can understand how something can cause the device to become disconnected from time to time, but it should be able to reconnect on it's own. It is absolutely ridiculous that there is no feauture to alert me that that it is offline. It is also absolutely ridiculous that it cannot figure out how to reconnect on a strong network without me having to find my special orange tool and remove the battery.

Thanks @Tom_Ring for trying to help. I would expect a port/protocol issue to prevent a connection all the time and not just drop the connection. I do have some more information. I changed my router to notify me when the Ring goes off/on network and it happens a lot. It is dropping about once an hour and sometimes more. It has been reconnecting withing seconds usually. I would normally think that is an issue with wifi signal but I have been periodically checking the signal strength after a reconnect and it is still between RSSI-50-56. As a check, I have also set the same notifcation for my cheap smart plugs that I have around the house and they are not reconnecting. One of the plugs is next to my front door, but inside the house. I think for fun I may move one outside the house just below the ring to see if it starts dropping. I really believe it is a device problem. I've read that the transformer may not be providing enough power but the battery is above 85% so I can't see how that can be an issue. I also have a reserved IP on the ring so that it always gets the same ip address in case that was causing a problem and it didn't help. Thanks, Brad
