Ring doorbell placed on upvc porch

Already have a ring stick up cam battery which very happy with but just purchased the ring doorbell 3 and I’m having doubts whether it’s going to work. It’ll be placed on an outer upvc double glazed door part of a double glazed upvc porch which then has a wooden inner door to the house, I have good wifi signal but am now thinking will it work? I have friends who have ring doorbells but they don’t have a secondary outer door/enclosed porch. Any comments or advice appreciated please. Thanks
