Ring Video Doorbell
Ring door bell pro and mechanical chime
Ok so I just wanted to give everyone a heads up who has ring doorbell pro with mechanical chime. I recently installed a ring doorbell pro. The first one had to be replaced. They sent one after troubleshooting no big deal. But I noticed my mechanical chime wasn't working when pressed. So I verified the chime works etc. Verified settings in app. Still nothing. So I went back to settings and change bell type to none then saved. Then changed it back to mechanical and bam it works now. Just thought this would be helpful for anyone else experiencing this.

As its name indicates, a mechanical chime creates its sound by using a physical bell and a mechanical hammer and makes a [Tellpizzahut](https://www.tellpizzahut.one/) "ding-dong" sound. An electronic doorbell chime* plays pre-recorded digital tones through an electronic speaker and often has a selection of different tones you can choose from.

Hey @matthewlee8830. Thank you for sharing this tip! This is an essential function of the Ring Pro so I'm sure others will benefit from this!
