Problems with video doorbell hardwire

Hard wired video door bell today to existing doorbell. Used extenders and when you touch the two metal bits together original house chime rings. But when you fasten doorbell up and press button original house chime doesn't ring. (Defaults to ring sound) on app it won't connect to hardwire when I set it up?

Check your Alexa app and turn off notifications. That worked for me and others. There is a software integration issue. Drove me crazy trying to figure it out. Good luck.
