My new 2024 ring doorbell has a ring around the camera and our old one didn’t? Is this normal?? Tried chatting with agent but cut me off after I asked the question… Thank you to anyone who can help?

Looks like lens distortion, but that is normal for "fisheye" type lenses. They show a somewhat distorted image in order to capture as much as possible of the surrounding area.
