My Ring Doorbell dropped off my wifi. I want to reconnect but it wants the 5 digit pin off the device. I can't find the card that came with the device and I would have to take it off the wall to get the pin off the device itself. Is there another way to get that pin code?

Hi @sassy_red. If you no longer have the original packaging that came with the Doorbell, then you will have to get the 5 digit pin off of the Doorbell itself. I would recommend taking a picture of this, that way you can have it readily available, if needed.

Ok. So support says take a photo of the pin on the ring devise but they don’t say where it is located.

Sorry to hear about this, @lpatterson55! Please check the box your Ring device came in, as well as the installation guide. Depending on device model, there might also be a code on the back, bottom, side or inside the battery compartment (for battery devices) of the device. You can also check out our [QR Code Troubleshooting guide here](https://community.ring.com/t/qr-code-troubleshooting/119092). If you are unable to find your QR or PIN code on the Ring device, the quick start insert, or on the packaging our support team will be happy to assist further. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). were you ever able to solve this problem? Customer service said there is no way to have this pin unless doorbell removed. when removed, there is a qr code - but no 5 digit pin.

I had this same issue. The QR code is on the back of the Ring doorbell. If the doorbell is already mounted on the wall, take it down, and you’ll see it.

Is there any way of getting the PIN without I un-mounting the device? All I want to do is change the WiFi network?

I have the qr code in my paperwork, but it just takes me to my ring app. What do I do with that? I need the 5digit code to reconnect.
