Mounting screws won't thread / tighten
battery-video-doorbell

Hi @Marley_Ring can you help please. I have had my x2 doorbells for sum time now and never had a problem. I removed the door bells to charge and noticed that the black plastic around where the screws go to fit to the wall has started to crack and now the screws will not tighten up to secure? I do have a plan in place. What can I do or what can be done to fix this? ![image|666x500](upload://kaUYDLjjHlrHTjQ40s97aFD9dpz.jpeg)

Hi there, @Laird84! Happy to help here. First and foremost, at Ring we care about our neighbors safety. Depending on Video Doorbell model, I invite you to check out this [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050949611-Ring-Video-Doorbell-2020-release-Recall) regarding the Video Doorbell (2020 release) and mounting screws. As a possible solution, and depending on these Doorbell models, check out our No Drill Mounts on our [mounting accessories page at Ring.com](https://ring.com/collections/accessories?filters=type:installation-mounts). Otherwise, we've seen neighbors also use double sided tape to mount their video Doorbells, as long as it is rated for outdoors and to hold the weight of your Video Doorbell. Our support team may also be able to help further with this. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. I'm going to move this topic over to the Doorbells board, as it might help other neighbors with a similar question. I hope this helps! :)
