Inactive sound notification

Hi, I've got the doorview ring bell but can't get it to send sound notifications. It vibrates and sound is selected in the settings but the volume slider is inactive with crossed bell icon and it won't let me change it. Already checked the privacy settings. I would be grateful if someone could help me out with this. Thanks :)
