False Ring events

Twice now, within the last 7 days, I've gotten false Ring notifications (NOT motion events, actual rings, as in someone pushed the button) on two different doorbells. The most recent one occurred yesterday. Both times when this has happened, there has been no corresponding motion event. Yesterday, when it happened, I was in the next room and immediately went to the door. There was no one there, nor was anyone around. It should be noted, it would have been impossible for anyone to have rung the doorbell and then hidden out of my site. I live on a large piece of property, and there is no place to hide within many yards of the doorbell. Also, as I say, no motion was detected. What is going on, and what could cause this? This seems like some sort of problem on Ring's servers, not on my installation, as this has happened to two different doorbells, and one of them is brand new (only 1 week old). Thoughts?
