Excessive data usage

Hi, I have a Ring (2nd gen), and yesterday connected it to our home internet. The internet app (Quantum Fiber) shows that the connected Ring device used up 2.78 GB (!!) in less than one day.What a luck we have unlimited data, but I think this is extremely excessive and makes no sense. No alerts or motion detection are activated (but even if they were this is way out of scope). What is going on / how can I fix that crazy behavior..?

    Hi @user_8ed439. Can you please confirm the device name of your Ring Doorbell? You can find the specific device name listed on the Device Health page in the Ring app. Additionally, can you share a screenshot or picture of where you're seeing this data usage?

      I’m getting high data use from my front door camera as well. I have other cameras and they don’t use anywhere near as much. I have tried to reset the ring doorbell. Anyone know what is causing this?

        Hi @user_451672. How much activity is your Ring Doorbell recording each day? You can check the Event History tab to see how many motions, dings, and Live Views occurred each day. A high amount of activity could correspond to higher data usage.
