Hi there @ClayL. While you can wire your Doorbell 3 to an existing doorbell circuit, it will provide a trickle charge to help keep the battery topped off. Using the Live View on your Doorbell will drain the battery, but you should only notice a large decrease in battery percentage if you have the Live View open often. With regular use, having your Doorbell wired to your doorbell circuit should help keep the battery level topped off so it does not need to be charged as often. I hope that helps clear things up! :)
